How to make the Guest board visible to guests

Overview

Once the Guest board is configured, it is essential to make it easily accessible to your guests. By creating multiple touchpoints, both digital and physical, you can encourage participation and ensure guests know where to share their experiences and interact with others. This article explains how to display the Guest board in the app and how to create direct access links and QR codes.

Before getting started

Before creating access points, please ensure the following:

  • The Guest board is enabled and fully set up in the Activity section.
  • You have access to the My app section.

Step by step guide

Option 1: Display the Guest board on the guest app

You can add the Guest board to the guest app in one or both of the following ways:

Option A: Add a link to the Guest board in the side menu
  1. Navigate to My app in the CMS.
  2. Select the correct app if managing multiple properties.
  3. Click Customize app and then Edit my app.
  4. In Edit my app, go to the Side menu section. The side menu shows shortcuts to all sections of your app organizing the contents by categories that you can define.
  5. Activate Show side menu to enable the menu in the app.
  6. Customize the logo, background color and text color.
  7. Click Add group to create a category (e.g., Leisure).
  8. Click Add section to link specific content (in this case, the Guest board).
    • Choose Hotel as Content source.
    • From the dropdown menu select Guest board.
    • Give a title for the section.
  9. Click Save changes.

The side menu will now display a direct link to the Guest board.

Option B: Add a widget to the home page

Widgets allow you to highlight key content directly on the app’s front page. In this case, you can use them to redirect users to the Guest board. Please refer to this article to see all available widgets and learn how to configure them.

Note: When selecting the content for each widget, ensure you choose Guest board from the dropdown menu.

Note: If you create a link to the Guest board while the feature is inactive (the activation toggle in the Activity section is OFF), a "Coming Soon" message will be displayed to guests. Once the Guest board is activated, this message will automatically be replaced by the board's content.

Option 2: Create a custom link

  1. Go to the My app section in the top menu.
  2. Select the app you want to create the link for.
  3. In the left-side menu, select Promote app.
  4. Navigate to the Custom links section.
  5. Click the Create button. A pop-up configuration window will appear.
  6. Assign a Name to the custom link.
  7. Choose the Type from the dropdown menu. Para este caso te recomendamos usar el type Link.
  8. Choose the Location, which refers to the physical place in the hotel where the link will be situated (e.g., Lobby, Spa, Room).
  9. Choose Guest board as the Destination content.
  10. Click Create link.

Option 3: Create a QR code

  1. Go to the My app section in the top menu.
  2. Select the app you want to create the link for.

  6. Assign a Name to the custom link.
  7. Choose the Type from the dropdown menu. Here you must select QR code from the dropdown menu.
  8. Choose the Location, which refers to the physical place in the hotel where the link will be situated (e.g., Lobby, Spa, Room).
  9. Choose Guest board as the Destination content.
  10. Click Create link.
