How to optimize a thermal circuit for visitors (PRO)
Overview
If your spa operates as a thermal circuit and welcomes visitors (non-staying customers), STAY provides tools to help you accept bookings from this type of customer. This guide explains how to optimize your spa’s visibility and setup for a seamless visitor experience—without requiring the guest app.
Before getting started
Before configuring your thermal circuit for visitors, make sure:
- You have completed the spa setup in Content > Facilities > Spa.
- The spa is using the PRO booking system in Book setting mode.
- Have created at least one time interval (Timetable tab) and enabled it for bookings.
Who are visitors?
In STAY, visitors are customers who do not have a reservation to stay at the hotel. These may include local residents or guests from nearby hotels. You can make your thermal circuit accessible to them through public booking links.
Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Enable bookings for visitors
- Go to PRO > [Select the spa] > Settings > Restrictions.
- Scroll down to Allow bookings from visitors.
- Enable the Activated switch.
- Select the access type:
- Manually by staff (bookings managed offline via phone, in person, etc.).
- App (visitors will book online).
- Click Save changes.
Step 2: Share the booking widget
Since thermal circuits do not use a catalog, visitors cannot browse your services via a catalog widget. Instead, share a Booking widget so they can reserve a spot directly.
To get your public booking widget, contact the STAY Support team. You will receive a shareable link that can be:
- Posted on your spa or hotel website
- Shared via your Google Business Profile
- Posted on your social media platforms
- Printed as a QR code on flyers, brochures, or posters
Visitors can book directly from this widget—no app installation needed.
Note: Make sure you have selected at least the App option under the Allow bookings from visitors section in the Restrictions tab. Also, ensure that the Bookable option is activated next to the relevant time intervals in the Timetable tab. The Disable app bookings toggle should not be activated.
Step 3: Enable payment options (if needed)
To offer payment options for visitors:
- Go to PRO > [Spa] > Settings > Payments.
- Under Payment options for visitors, enable the desired methods:
- Direct payment (cash/card onsite).
- Coming soon: Online payment (requires a payment gateway integration).
Next steps
After configuring your spa for visitors:
- Share your booking widget on your website, Google profile, or QR codes.
- Train your staff to easily identify bookings from guests and visitors for smoother service.
- Monitor incoming bookings in CMS > PRO > Reservations.
- Use Insights to track where bookings are coming from and understand the balance between guests and visitors.
