How to make AI Concierge visible to guests

Overview

Once the AI Concierge is configured, it is essential to make it easily accessible to guests.

By creating multiple touchpoints within the guest app and beyond, you can encourage interaction and ensure guests know where to ask questions and find information.

This article explains how to make the AI Concierge visible in the app and how to create additional access points using links and QR codes.

Before getting started

Before creating access points, make sure:

  • The AI Concierge is enabled and properly configured [link]
  • You have access to the My app section in the CMS

Step-by-step guide

Option 1: Display the AI Concierge in the guest app

You can make the AI Concierge accessible in the app in one or both of the following ways:

Option A: Add the AI Concierge to the side menu

The side menu allows you to create shortcuts to key sections of your app, making the AI Concierge easily accessible at any time.

  1. Go to My app in the CMS
  2. Select the correct app (if managing multiple properties)
  3. Click Customize appEdit app
  4. Go to the Side menu section
  5. Activate Show side menu (if not already enabled)
  6. Click Add group to create a category (e.g., Guest services or Help)
  7. Click Add section
  8. Select AI Concierge as the content
  9. Add a title (e.g., Ask us, Chat, AI Assistant)
  10. Click Save changes

The AI Concierge will now be accessible from the side menu.

Option B: Add a widget to the home page (recommended)

Widgets allow you to highlight key features directly on the app’s home page, increasing visibility.

You can use different widget types depending on your app structure and design.

The Footer widget is particularly effective because it remains visible at the bottom of the screen throughout the app, even as guests scroll down.

To add a Footer:

  1. Go to My app
  2. Select your app
  3. Click Customize appEdit app
  4. Add a new widget (+ icon)
  5. Locate the Footers widget types
  6. Select between 3 shortcuts or Bubble

3 shortcuts widget:

  1. Select the content source (Hotel, Corporate, or URL) and a content item (select AI Concierge for one of the shortcuts)
  2. Add or upload an icon
  3. Enter a title for each shortcut
  4. Click the flag icon to add translations
  5. Save changes

Tip: Assigning the AI Concierge to the central position increases its visibility, as it becomes the most prominent and easily accessible option in the Footer.

 

Bubble widget:

  1. Select the Content source (Hotel, Corporate, or URL)
  2. Select AI Concierge as the Content
  3. Choose an icon for the bubble
  4. Select a button color (optional)
  5. Save changes

 

By placing the AI Concierge in the Footer:

  • It appears as a persistent entry point (chat-style access)
  • It remains visible across the app
  • It becomes a primary interaction channel for guests

This setup encourages frequent use and improves accessibility.

Note: When selecting content for widgets, ensure you choose AI Concierge from the dropdown menu.

 

Option 2: Create a custom link

Custom links allow you to create direct access points to the AI Concierge from specific locations (digital or physical).

  1. Go to My app in the CMS
  2. Select your app
  3. In the left-side menu, click Promote app
  4. Go to the Custom links section
  5. Click Create
  6. Assign a Name to the link
  7. Select Type: Link
  8. Choose a Location (e.g., Lobby, Room, Spa)
  9. Select AI Concierge as the Destination content
  10. Click Create link

 

Option 3: Create a QR code

QR codes allow guests to access the AI Concierge by scanning from physical locations.

  1. Go to My app
  2. Select your app
  3. Click Promote app
  4. Go to Custom links
  5. Click Create
  6. Assign a Name
  7. Select Type: QR code
  8. Choose a Location
  9. Select AI Concierge as the Destination content
  10. Click Create link

Note: If you create access points while the AI Concierge is not enabled, guests may not be able to interact with the feature until it is activated.
